Tomoko Kato

My journey as a Japanese and English translator started from a drive to remove language barriers and more deeply connect Japan to the rest of the world.

I am a native Japanese speaker based in Kyoto, Japan. I have worked as a Japanese and English translator for over 20 years, 10 of which were spent in the U.S. and the U.K. My language services include everything from business translation and interpretation to video localization and literary translation.
